For women over 50

You haven’t forgotten how to do your makeup.
Your face has changed.

The routine you’ve trusted for years was built for the face you had then. The Mature Beauty Reset is a 30-day guided programme where you sit at your own mirror, with your own makeup, and we update it together, one step at a time.

Let me explain what this is, and what it isn’t.

It isn’t another makeup course you watch and forget.
Press play and I’ll show you why.

Does this sound familiar?

Your makeup used to work.
Lately, it doesn’t.

It usually creeps up gradually. These are the moments women tell me about most.

  • Foundation starts off OK, but by mid-morning it’s settled into all those fine lines.
  • Concealer cakes and creases under the eyes, making you look tired instead of brighter.
  • Eyeshadow disappears the moment you open your eyes.
  • Lipstick won’t stay inside your natural, thinning lip line.
  • Standing in the makeup aisle and leaving with nothing, because you don’t know what to buy anymore.
  • Wearing less and less makeup, because getting it wrong feels worse than not bothering.
  • Seeing a photograph of yourself and thinking, “Is that really what I look like?”
  • Wondering whether the polished, put-together version of you is simply gone.

None of this is vanity. You still feel capable and full of life. You just don’t recognise the face in the mirror anymore.

You’ve probably already tried to fix it

And none of it quite worked.

The beauty counter

Lovely under their lights.

Disappointing by the time you got it home and saw it in your own mirror.

Online tutorials

Clear on their faces.

Made by much younger women. The steps don’t translate to hooded lids or looser skin.

The product everyone raves about

It worked for everyone else.

Except you. Now it’s in the drawer with all the other products you bought in hope.

None of that was your fault.

Why your old routine stopped working

The techniques you learnt were made for a different face.

What you learnt in your twenties, thirties and forties worked beautifully on the face you had then. Since then, your skin has become drier, looser and more textured. Your lids have softened, your brows have thinned and your natural colour has faded. The techniques that used to work now make you look heavier, harsher and older.

Foundation

Then

Full coverage evened everything out.

Now

It sits in fine lines, emphasising texture and adding years.

Eyes

Then

Dark crease shadow and black liner gave definition.

Now

They drag the eyes down, making them look smaller and hollow.

Blusher

Then

Smile, and sweep it on the apples of the cheeks.

Now

The face is pulled down and can even look clown-like.

You don’t need more products. You need your routine updated, step by step, for the face you have now.

Thirty days from now

Picture this.

You sit down at the mirror and your routine takes fifteen minutes, not forty. You know what goes where, how much to use, and when to stop. You’re in the photograph instead of offering to take it.

Nobody says “you look different”. They say “you look really well”.

That isn’t a transformation.
It’s you, with a routine that finally works.

Meet Sue

Why I’m the one showing you this.

Sue Blackhurst holding her makeup brushes
40+years in beauty

On my 60th birthday I looked in the mirror and didn’t recognise the face looking back at me. Heavier. Duller. Tired around the eyes. The routine I had trusted for decades was making me look older.

Despite all my experience, I couldn’t immediately explain what had changed. So I went right back to basics and rebuilt my own routine for the face I have now.

That’s why I built this programme for you. It’s not about theory. It’s a routine I worked out at my own mirror, taught the way I’ve taught students for years: slowly, clearly, and with plenty of practice.

I’m not here to sell you a fantasy. I’m the same age as you, looking in the same mirror. I just happen to have forty years of experience to share with you.

Introducing

The Mature Beauty Reset

A 30-day guided makeup programme for women over 50. These are not lessons you watch once and try to remember later. You sit at your own mirror, with your own products, and complete every step alongside me while the video plays.

It’s a do-it-with-me approach, and it works in five stages.

  1. STAGE 1

    Understand your face

A simple, kind self-assessment of your skin, lids, brows and colouring, so the advice fits you.

  2. STAGE 2

    Apply it together

Real-time sessions. I apply, you apply. Nothing sped up, nothing filtered.

  3. STAGE 3

    Check in the mirror

Simple mirror checkpoints tell you whether it’s working on your face, not mine.

  4. STAGE 4

    Adjust

It doesn’t always go right. Learn the tiny fixes without having to start again.

  5. STAGE 5

    Repeat for 30 days

Repeat the sessions until the routine is yours and you no longer need me beside you.

What’s inside

One complete routine, in the right order.

Short follow-along videos across six modules.

Before we start

Why your old routine stopped working (and why it isn’t your fault), your face-now assessment, and the makeup bag audit: what to keep, what to use differently, and what to stop wasting money on.

1

Skin preparation

Let’s get this right before a scrap of makeup goes on, so everything after it sits properly.

2

The base

Choose and apply the right foundation and concealer, so they behave instead of settling into lines or creasing by lunchtime. Less product, better placement.

3

Eyes and brows

Shadow that stays visible on small, hooded and downturned eyes, liner that lifts rather than closes, and brows that frame the face.

4

Colour and warmth

Blusher, bronzer and a little glow in the right places, to bring life back to the face without looking overdone.

5

Lips

Soft definition and colour that stops bleeding into fine lines and stays where you put it.

6

Your finished face

Everything brought together into one 10 to 15 minute routine, plus a polished version for when you have more time.

Free videos are genuinely useful. I make them every week. The Reset is for when you want the whole thing put together properly, with someone beside you while you do it.

Is this for you?

An honest answer, before you decide.

This is for you if…

  • You’ve worn makeup for years and your usual routine no longer looks right.
  • You want to look fresher and more polished, not younger.
  • You’d rather use what you already own before buying anything new.
  • You learn best by doing, not just watching.
  • You’re starting again after years of wearing very little.

It isn’t for you if…

  • You want a dramatic or trend-led look.
  • You’re after a one-to-one personal makeover.
  • You want skincare treatments or anti-ageing promises.
  • You’re hoping to look twenty years younger. I can’t promise that, and I won’t.
  • You’d rather watch than pick up a brush yourself.

What women say about Sue’s videos.

“The bit about hooded eyes actually made me stop and rewind. First person who’s explained it in a way that applies to my actual eyelids.”

YouTube comment

“I felt like Sue was talking directly to me, not at some imaginary 25-year-old. Genuinely quite emotional watching this.”

YouTube comment

“Tried the foundation tip from one of her videos and my husband actually commented I looked well rested. He never notices anything.”

Questions you might be asking

Before you join

I’m not very good at makeup. Will I keep up?

Yes. You don’t need any professional skill. Each step is broken into small stages, shown close up and slowly, and you can pause and replay as often as you like. Nobody expects perfection on the first go.

I’ve watched tutorials before and still couldn’t do it. Why is this different?

Because you’re not watching and trying to remember later. You do each step while the video plays, check it in your own mirror, and repeat it over 30 days until it sticks. It’s one complete routine in the right order, not a collection of tips.

Will I need to buy lots of new products?

No. We start with the makeup bag audit and use what you already own wherever it still works. Where something genuinely needs replacing, I’ll explain why and suggest options at different prices. Please don’t go shopping before you’ve done the first module.

What if it doesn’t suit my face? I have hooded eyes, or I wear glasses.

The programme is built for mature features, including hooded lids, thinning brows, drier skin and glasses. Where faces differ, I show you the options and the mirror checks tell you which one works for you.

How much time will it take?

Lessons are short, so most women do one in the time they’d normally spend getting ready. The finished routine takes 10 to 15 minutes.

I’m not confident with technology. Is that a problem?

Not at all. There’s a short setup lesson that shows you how to prop up your tablet or laptop, pause and replay, make the picture bigger and set up your lighting. If you can watch my YouTube videos, you can do this.

Is this a subscription?

No. It’s one payment with lifetime access. There’s nothing to cancel and nothing that renews.

What happens when I join the waitlist?

You’ll get an email confirming your place, a few updates from me while I finish filming, and first access at £37 when the doors open. You’re under no obligation to buy.

What if I don’t get the same result as you?

You won’t, and you shouldn’t. The aim isn’t to copy my face. It’s to find the most flattering result on yours, and the mirror checks are there to help you do exactly that.

Sit down at your mirror, press play, and let’s update your routine together.

Fresher, brighter and still completely you.
